On Wednesday, February 8, Your Mom’s Restaurant and Bar on Lee Drive was crowded for a cause.
The popular dining spot near LSU’s campus agreed to do a giveback night for the Miss LSU-USA Pageant. This meant that when customers mentioned Miss LSU or Delta Zeta, 15% of the proceeds went to the organizations supported by the Miss LSU-USA Pageant.
Locally Delta Zeta and the Miss LSU-USA Pageant support The Emerge Center, St. Lillian Academy, Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area, and Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center. On a national level, a portion of the funds raised through the pageant also go to the Painted Turtle Camp and the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
The giveback night at Your Mom’s Restaurant and Bar raised over $350 for Delta Zeta’s local and national philanthropies. This will go towards the pageant’s total fundraising goal of $72,000.
Thank you to Your Mom’s Restaurant and Bar for hosting this giveback night and for serving as a sponsor for the 2017 Miss LSU-USA Pageant.
Stay tuned for upcoming giveback nights that will support the 2017 Miss LSU-USA Pageant.
