Ashley Victoria Barbier, Miss LSU-USA 2015, graduated from Louisiana State University in 2015 with a bachelor of science in Psychology. During her time at LSU, she was in the Psychology Club, Psi Chi, and Phi Sigma Theta National Honors Society. Along with staying active in various clubs, Ashley’s personal platform as Miss LSU-USA was “Breaking the Silence: Psychological Illnesses are Illnesses Too.” As a campus ambassador for psychological disorders, Ashley’s hope was to comfort those who are suffering as well as educating those who aren’t.

As Miss LSU USA, Ashley appeared to over 50 different events in four different states. She even had to opportunity to model for JOVANI Fashions in New York City.
After her year as Miss LSU USA, Ashley took an internship in New York City and eventually made her way back to her alma mater. Now living in New Orleans Ashley attends Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center where she studies Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ashley plans to continue her education, travel, and to continue promoting the Miss LSU-USA Pageant.
Ashley’s advice to the Miss LSU USA contestants and the future Miss LSU USA is to mold that crown to your head. The title should be incorporated into who you are and should be worn with pride and confidence.
