Hey Tiger fans!

Congrats to our tigers for winning another game while keep it classy for South Carolina!

Also, thank you to all of the students and fans that went out to support both teams last minute. It meant a lot to our community, as well as the South Carolina’s, GEAUX TIGERS!

This week is a HUGE week for me! For those of you that don’t know, not this Friday but next Friday I will begin competing for Miss Louisiana USA!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Miss Louisiana USA, it is a preliminary competition to the nationally televised Miss USA Pageant!

The competition includes an interview, swimsuit and evening gown competition, as well as an onstage question if I were to make it into the Top 5 finalists.

In order to prepare for this pageant, it takes a lot of hard work. Not only have I been working with my trainer five days a week, but I’ve also been on a very strict diet plan to insure that I’m in tip-top shape!

Another way to prepare for the pageant is making sure that I am up to date on all current events happening on both a state and national level!

Practice makes perfect so for the next two weeks, it’s PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! I’m beyond excited to represent LSU at Miss Louisiana…

To tell you a short story about Miss LSU, I honestly didn’t think I could do it… I remember watching the pageant for the last couple of years and thinking “What an honor, I wish I would be able to hold a title like that and represent my school.” I also remember competing in Miss Louisiana Teen USA and seeing the reigning Miss LSU and thinking about how amazing she was.

If I can do it, YOU can do it and I encourage all girls who want to be Miss LSU USA, to give it a try! It’s such an amazing experience and even if you don’t walk out with a crown on your head, you walk out with experiences and friendships that you will always cherish!

I’m not in a sorority, and I’m not your typical pageant girl, but I was prepared and passionate- honestly, that’s all it takes!

For the next few days leading up to the pageant, something that would really make my journey special is letters! Usually, when I go to a pageant I ask my friends and family to write letters for me to read during the pageant weekend! Letters, emails, facebook messages, ANYTHING works!

Thank you all for following me on this journey, it wouldn’t be nearly as special if it wasn’t for the support of my friends, family, and community!
